Smart and Good Looking
The non-drive side of the bike: a drab wasteland of aluminum, plastic, and steel. We think that it's time to bring a little magic -and sanity- to the dark side of the bike.
Terske's Titanium Crank Upgrade Kit replaces that tacky plastic cap and heavy steel pinch bolts with precision-machined Grade 5 Titanium. It’s a functional upgrade that brings a touch color and refinement while eliminating the need for proprietary tools.
Why We Made It:
- No Specialist Tools: We’ve done away with the proprietary 8-notch plastic tool requirement. Our preload cap features a standard hex broach, so you can perform trailside adjustments with the same multi-tool you use for everything else.
In fact, it's the same 5mm hex used for the pinch bolts. - Information Where You Need It: No more searching online manuals, relying on easily-lost stickers, or, worse, just winging it. The torque specifications for both the preload cap and the pinch bolts are laser-etched directly onto the titanium.
- Precision Hardware: The kit includes two M6 pinch bolts featuring captive washers, ensuring even load distribution and preventing the galling common with lesser hardware.
- Lightweight & Permanent: At 12g for the set, our kit matches the stock hardware- without any plastic. And unlike anodized aluminum, our PVD finishes won’t fade or corrode, staying vibrant through seasons of mud and wash cycles.
Compatibility:
Our Preload Cap is a direct replacement for Shimano part numbers Y0J620000 and Y1LR13000.
